Holiday apartment Galatia

The two beautiful and comfortably furnished 70-square-metre holiday apartments are equipped with a large kitchen-living room with a ceramic hob and extractor hood, fridge-freezer, coffee machine, TV and DVD player.

The apartments each have a bathroom with shower and toilet, a washing machine and two bedrooms with two single beds.

From the communal roof terrace of the house you have a magnificent panoramic view over the Messara plain, the Asteroussia mountains and the excavation of Phaistos. To the north you can see the snow-capped peaks of the Ida Mountains with the Psiloritis.

The Galatia Apartments are ideal for families with children. The house is surrounded by fields with gnarled old olive trees – ideal for playing and romping.

The owner Manolis, a passionate gardener, lovingly supplies our guests with fruit and vegetables from his own garden. Every now and then, his mother, Maria, also comes by with fresh eggs.

The house Galatia in Agios Ioannis with its rural idyll and its unique quiet location is just a few kilometres from Mires and Timbaki, the main towns of the region. The weekly markets there are worth visiting. The unique, natural sandy beach ‘Komo-Beach’ can be reached in a few minutes by car. Numerous excursion and hiking destinations are just a few kilometres away, and for night owls there are bars and discos in Kalamaki and Matala. Pets are welcome. Suitable for wheelchair users.

Agios Ioannis is a small, quiet district of the village of Kamilari in southern Crete. It is surrounded by olive groves at the foot of the famous Minoan excavations of Festos. A few taverns are located near Haus Galatia and a small supermarket with a butcher’s shop is in Kamilari, just two kilometres away. The long sandy beach of Kalamaki with many restaurants and a public swimming pool is just under four kilometres away.
