Our wonderfully relaxing 5* star hotel has arguably the most magnificent location of all. Perched on a mountainside, it sits just a few metres above the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea, in a peaceful location just 13 kilometres east of the cosmopolitan harbour town of Agios Nikolaos in the Lassithi region. The well-established hotel offers comfortable and spacious rooms, all with balconies or terraces offering the most beautiful sea view, a snack bar, a lounge bar, a large seawater swimming pool and a hotel beach where a number of water sports and a diving school are also offered… As a not insignificant addition to the hotel facilities, the Istron Bay Hotel radiates warm Cretan hospitality. You will probably notice it during your stay, as most of the hotel staff have been with the company for years, and the team and management have a very familiar relationship with the hotel guests.
The room types offered are standard double rooms with double or twin beds, or superior rooms. The superior rooms are a bit more spacious and also have a seating area and bathrobes. All rooms have individual air conditioning and balconies or terraces, from which you have a fantastic view of the bay, with its wonderfully blue water.
The stated price includes half board (breakfast and dinner), and bed and breakfast is also available on request. A sumptuous breakfast buffet awaits you and the other hotel guests every morning in the main restaurant, where dinner is also served. Superior room guests also have the option of dining at the gourmet restaurant on the beach, while standard room guests can dine there for a small supplement.
The Istron Bay Hotel is located on the outskirts of the village of Istro, where you will find a handful of taverns, a few mini-markets and a few cafes. The nearest town is Agios Nikolaos, just a few minutes away by rental car, and there is also a bus connection. Eastern Crete offers a variety of historical attractions that invite you to take excursions. For this reason, we have included a rental car in the price. If you do not want a rental car, we will replace it with a private taxi transfer on your arrival and departure.
