Welcome to Irida Beach Studios!

These cosy studios are located in the centre of the small, tranquil village of Sidonia, better known as Psari Forada. Here, time passes at a different pace, something you will notice as soon as you arrive! Are you looking for relaxation, Cretan hospitality, wonderfully clear water and a well-kept holiday accommodation? Then Irida Studios is the right place for you! The magnificent beach is just a few steps away, and you can plunge into the waves in no time! Every year, the beach is awarded the Blue Flag, the highest award for high water quality and an extremely clean beach!

A quaint beach café is located just below the studios. This is where the locals meet and discuss the events of the day over a cup of Greek coffee, while the children run around barefoot and occasionally stop for an ice cream. A few dishes are also offered, freshly prepared daily. You can choose to sit on the village square or on the shady beach terrace. If you don’t feel like eating out, you can prepare something in your studio. Each studio has a small kitchenette, which is particularly popular with our guests for breakfast. After all, what could be better than a freshly brewed coffee, a boiled egg and fragrant Greek bread on your balcony with a view of the sea!

The 13 studios are spread over three floors and are decorated in the Greek colours (white and blue). Each one has a balcony overlooking either the sea or the pretty garden. You can choose between a double bed or two single beds. There is a sofa bed for a possible third person. In addition, each studio has a bedroom.

The reception staff on the ground floor are friendly and very helpful, and will be happy to give you tips for excursions in the area! Cosy lounges have been set up on the first and second floors. Guests often meet here for a little chat, and numerous books (including in German) are available to borrow.

The area around Psari Forada is still completely untouched by tourism. The locals from the neighbouring villages built some summer houses here many years ago and lived here when they wanted to go fishing. A small community quickly emerged. Today, the main source of income comes from the cultivation of the small, delicious and very sweet bananas and the juicy tomatoes, because the area is very warm even in winter. You should definitely take a trip to the region’s capital, Ano Vianos. Symi is a delight for nature lovers, with a charming mountain village through which flows a small, babbling brook with drinking water quality! If you continue up into the mountains from Symi, you will eventually come to a picturesque plateau. During the hot summer months, shepherds bring their sheep here, it is a pure idyll.
