The location of the Olympia Apartments is very special, because they are located in the middle of the holiday resort of Makrigialos, but due to their beach location it is very quiet. Most of the shops are located on the street, only two taverns are in the immediate vicinity. The picturesque harbor can be reached in a few minutes on foot, taverns offer freshly caught fish in a beautiful postcard idyll.

Boats depart from here to the uninhabited island of Koufounissi, where you can swim, snorkel and sunbathe for a few hours.

In Makrigialos you can find everything you need for your vacation, mini markets, butchers, bakeries, pharmacies, gas stations, and of course a colorful selection of taverns and cafes.

If you are looking for secluded beaches, there are numerous coves on the south coast towards the east, where you will rarely see another soul. The beach at Xerocampos is magnificent, its turquoise waters shining from afar. Those interested in culture will get their money’s worth at the monasteries of Moni Kapsa and Moni Toplou. In Kato Zakros stands the fourth of the palaces from the Minoan period, an excavation site that could not have been more beautiful in its surroundings! For hiking enthusiasts, there are many enticing gorges and hiking trails, and the European hiking trail E4 ends in Kato Zakros!
